Andrea | Graduation

Spring time is graduation season and this year it was no different! I had the pleasure of photographing Andrea in a series of photos for her graduation photos at the iconic City Hall of San Francisco.

Lea & Adam | Boston Wedding

I cannot believe I never posted this gem of a wedding. This was scheduled on one snowy January Day in the Copley Square area in Boston. Daylight was scarce and darkness looms over quite early.

I met this couple in a couple shop where I ran them over the contract, agreements, and expectations. These two are lawyers so I definitely was scared to make a mistake, but I was surprised by how warn, welcoming, trust-worthy, and easy-going these two were.

They trusted my work and wanted the standard getting ready shots in the hotel, wedding ceremony in the Church, and Reception in the Church as well.

The bride was surrounded by her closest family and loved ones getting ready for the wedding. The star of the show was the stunning wedding dress - the bride insisted I take photos of it the second I came in the room. I noted its beautiful and exquisite detailing. Some sweet moments of Lea’s family members are shown below.

Although they had a mid-sized wedding party and guests - the wedding ceremony was held in the old Church next door and felt very intimate and private.

The couple and their wedding guests went next door to cut the cake and enjoy the ceremony. This is where I got to shoot some indoor shots of the two newlyweds and their parents doing the first dance, the cutting of the cake, and the dancing and mingling after.

Kristina & Devin | Maternity Photography

Relaunching has been my dream for the past years. My friend Kristina was able to help me reach this goal when her and her fiancé, Devin agreed to a maternity photoshoot.

This couple prepared long and hard for their baby girl’s arrival and brought some things on the shoot to show how much they love her - tiny dresses and shoes. Kristina is an amazing young lady and pushed through the mid afternoon summer heat and styled out dresses and shoes to match - her meticulousness was only matched by Devin’s sharp personality and patient persona.

They are absolutely adorable together and no doubt excited but nervous for their baby girl to arrive. We tried to do as many shots as we can in their neighborhood park to capture these feelings during the 40 minutes session.

Kristina posed like a superstar and Devin charmed the camera - I was taken aback by how comfortable they made me feel and how relaxed they were. Even though the shoot was on the shorter side, I tried to capture as many photos as possible for this pair to look back on later.

They did excellent in the photoshoot and I am excited to meet the baby girl soon and help photograph her moments and memories as these two grow from a couple into a family. <3

J & L | Wedding Photography

I got to know J & L when I shot their engagement session, and their playfulness, energy, creativity, and most of all, their love for each other, showed through the entire session. J graduated from Harvard and L from UC Berkeley (yay, Norcal!) and made an amazingly gorgeous and intelligent couple.

L handmade most of her goodies and chose the Herb Lyceum (list of vendors at the end of post!) for her rustic, Fall New England wedding. The wedding itself was small, intimate, and so much fun to photograph- from the gorgeous florals by Kathryn Yee, the S'mores pit, the pie bar, to the historic barn- the entire day came together so beautifully and I am so happy to have been a part of it!

Paula and Hoang | Engagement Photography

Paula and Hoang are high school sweethearts getting married next year! I couldn't be more than happy to photograph their engagement sessions- Paula made sure to include some of her favorite things in the shoot, such as Off the Grid, Philz Coffee (Philz is amazing!) and 500 Days of Summer :).

Cory and Alexis | Couple Photography

Cory goes to school at UCSD and Alexis at NYU... so when Cory contacted me to do a shoot for those two at the end of summer, I couldn't be more happy to oblige! Alexis showed up in a super cute maxi dress and brought along a stunning red baby doll dress for the second part of the shoot.

 Even though it was super cold, Sutro Baths was an awesome backdrop and this couple's exuberance energy just made it so much more fun :). 

Anita and Haibin | Couple Photography

Anita goes to school in the East Coast and Haibin in the West, so naturally, I did a photoshoot for the two before Anita headed back to the East again! 

Aaaaaand, they brought props!!! Bubbles are so fun :). 

Morgan and Tom | Couple Photography

Morgan and Tom are married and have an adorable dog named Buckley! Morgan and Tom are chill, creative types while Buckley is an adorable ball of energy. We all got along :). 

Donte and Monica | Couple Photography

This couple traveled all the way from East Bay to Fisherman's Wharf, one of their favorite  spots, for our couple photoshoot! It wasn't easy navigating through the throngs of people and crowds but it was quite rewarding for the photos in the end :).

In addition to Spring time being formals season, it's also graduation season :). I love photographing newly-graduates because you can just see how happy they feel to graduate! The joy is contagious, as I hope you can feel from the photoshoot below!

The end of April- beginning on May is definitely formals season- I was capturing back-to-back formals and had the pleasure of capturing BU AKPsi's formal as well. 

BU Indian Club Formal | Event Photography

I had no idea when I agreed to photograph the BU Indian Club's annual formal that I would be in for a long night of sparkly and pretty Indian Sarees and great dancing music! I got to witness firsthand that Indians sure know how to party!

My friend from Stage Right Secrets asked me to come along to one of their interviews and record the concert for The Postelles afterwards. Concert photography is a very different experience and one that I am glad I got an opportunity to try! 

Nicola and Luke | Couple Photography

Nicola loves cats and Luke loves Nicola- it's a perfect match! I did two photoshoots with this couple, one in Boston in the freezing winter time, and the other in sunny California in the amazing summer time. Family Photography

This sweet mom and her baby girls had their grandparents visiting them, and of course wanted to take some photos to remember the whole family by! Photos with children need to be a consistent process because kids grow SO fast :). It has only been a few months but these adorable little girls are so much bigger now and I can't wait to photograph them again!
